24-Year-Old Man Charged With Firing Shots Into Overland Park Residence


On 4th of May, 24-year-old Andrew Michael Weldon Esparza got involved in a shooting incident in the 9100 block of West 87th Terrace.

He shot fires into an Overland Park house which was not empty at that time. Luckily, no one sustained injury in the shooting incident.

Esparza has been charged by Johnson County District Court with a felony charge of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

On Thursday, he was taken into custody and was summoned to court on a pending drug possession case.

His bond is set at $100,000.
