43-Year-Old Charles Webb Dead, Hours After Exchanging Shots With Overland Park Officers
According to the police, 43-year-old Charles Webb, who was shot by the cops on Friday, died after a few hours.
The police were reported about shots fired in the parking lot and courtyard of an apartment complex in the area of West 79th and Grant streets. The cops approached the area where they confronted the gunman. They gave him several orders, but he didn’t obey. He fired at the cops due to which they also fired at him and he sustained gunshot wounds.
They sent the gunman to a hospital and sealed the apartment complex. Shell casings and broken glass could be seen all over the area.
He was in serious condition at the hospital after exchanging gunfire with Overland Park officers at about 1 a.m.
After some time, the girlfriend of the gunman approached the police department’s north station and told that they had a fight.
The cops who were involved in the case didn’t sustain any injury and they were placed on paid administrative leave.
The case is under investigation.
