Eastern Kansas church pastor accused of child sex crime
57-year-old Jay Preston, a church pastor, has been charged for sexually molesting a child.
On Monday, he was charged with felony aggravated indecent liberties with a child. His bond was set at $500,000 for which he is still in jail.
According to Miami County Attorney, Elizabeth Sweeney-Reeder, the charges are linked to an incident that occurred earlier this month in rural Miami County.
Other than serving as the director of eastern Kansas homeless shelter and pastor of Grace Revolution Church of the Nazarene, he is also the CEO of My Father’s House in Paola.
He has been placed on unpaid leave and the organization continues running like before, said My Father’s House, which assists individuals living in Miami, Linn and 4 other rural counties.
