Homicide In Westport Being Investigated By Kansas City Police

39-year-old Ronald Shelton of Kansas City, who was the victim of an early Sunday shooting incident in Westport, has died.

The incident took place at about 1:50 a.m. on 40th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police officers patrolling in the Westport area heard several gunshots and hurried to the scene.

When they approached the place where they heard gunshots from, they found two victims on the 40th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. One of the victims had been shot in the arm and the other was shot in the abdomen.

According to witnesses, the disturbance began with an argument in the street near Pennsylvania. There were several people involved in the argument and one of the pulled out a gun and shot the two victims. The victim who was shot in the abdomen later died.
