Kansas man sentenced to more than 8 years for child sex crime
MARION – On Thursday, 55-year-old Gary Dwain Williams was sentenced to more than eight years in jail for one count of rape of an individual less than 14 years of age, told Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt.
He was summoned to Marion County District Court and was ordered to serve 97.5 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections by Judge Michael Powers. He was also sentenced to lifetime registration as a sex offender and lifetime post release supervision.
Williams pleaded guilty to the offense he committed in March. The conviction stemmed from an offense that was committed back in 2011.
