Overland Park Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Selling Stolen Cosmetics

37-year-old Yvette Shonk was arrested by Overland Park police on suspicion of stealing high-end cosmetics from local stores and selling them out of her home.

Shonk was taken into custody after police officers executed a search warrant Saturday on a residence in the 7900 block of Antioch Road. Upon entering the residence, they found high-end stolen cosmetics worth thousands of dollars.

Shonk was charged with felony theft. She was released from jail after posting a $15,000 bond.

An investigation revealed that Shonk had shoplifted makeup from the Kansas City metropolitan area, Wichita and Lawrence, so police executed a search warrant.

The case is still under investigation. Anyone who has more information regarding the case can call the police at 913-344-8744.
