Shooter who killed three law enforcement officers positively identified in Baton Rouge
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The shooter who killed 3 law enforcement officers in Baton Rouge has been identified by Louisiana State Police as Gavin Long.
Long is a resident of Kansas City who turned 29-years-old on Sunday. On the same day, he opened fire which left 3 officers dead and 3 others injured.
According to the police, he was killed at the scene.
According to the Facebook page that shows a post updated on Monday, Louisiana State Police told that they needed to withhold official confirmation of his name until they had positively ID’ed him through fingerprints.
The shooting that was done from the distance of less than a mile from police headquarters increased tensions all over the country between the black community and police.
