Wanted Drug Fugitive in Kansas Arrested After Rock Hill Traffic Collision
ROCK HILL – On Thursday, a woman was taken into custody after she was the victim in a traffic collision. After her arrest, it was found that she was wanted in Kansas on a felony drug charge by Rock Hill police.
According to court records, 22-year-old Meaghan Monteith was taken into custody a week before on drug charges in Fort Mill and released on $2,355 bond, despite having a pending assault charge and the Kansas warrant.
Monteith accepted that she was an escapee and will be held in jail until extradition to Kansas, according to a Rock Hill police report.

According to the York County court records, Monteith was charged last week by Fort Mill police with felony drug possession, two traffic tickets and another drug misdemeanor and after sometime released after posting bond. Court records also show that she faces assault charges from March and in May she pleaded guilty in a York magistrate court to driving a motor vehicle without a license.
