59-Year-Old Overland Park Man Accused Of Child Rape

Gabriel Gomez Lara, 59, has been charged with sexually assaulting 2 kids over a period of more than 7 years.

His charges included:

• 1 count of child rape
• 4 counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child

The ages of the victims were less than 14-year-old and 16-year-old when they were raped. The rape incidents happened between January 2011 and February 2018.

On Friday, Lara was taken into custody and his bond was set at $500,000.

He was summoned to court on Monday.
