Former Wichita School Safety Supervisor Sentenced For Child Sex Crime

WICHITA, Kan. – Alex Robinson, a former Wichita school safety supervisor, has been sentenced for child sex crime after he was accused of molesting boys in Kansas and similar offenses in Colorado.

Robinson was sentenced Tuesday in El Paso County, Colorado, to 16 years in prison. He is facing two counts of sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust. The child was aged between 15 to 18 years.

According to Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett, the Kansas case is expected to resume soon. Robinson previously worked as a police officer and school employee in Wichita where he is facing eight child sexual assault charges.

A warrant for Robinson’s arrest was issued by a judge in July. However, Robinson didn’t show up for the jury trial as he was in Colorado’s custody. The case was put on hold since then.
