Kansas City Teen Ordered To Stand Trial In Killing Another Teen During Attempted Robbery


19-year-old Marquise Stokes has been ordered to stand trial in the killing of 18-year-old Velik Henderson during an attempted robbery that was planned last summer in Overland Park.

Stokes is charged with first-degree felony murder for the shooting death of Henderson that happened in the month of June last year. He was killed inside his home in the 7800 block of West 61st Terrace when 19-year-old Trevon Anderson was also shot. However Stokes was not charged for it.

The other charges Stokes faces include:

  • Aggravated burglary
  • Attempted aggravated robbery

Stokes is summoned to court on 29th of April.
